What
is Chiropractic
Software?
Our chiropractic
software is called Chiro QuickCharts and was designed with a few things
in mind. First, speed is such a big key in any chiropractic office. If
you see 10 people a day or 50, speed of note-taking always is a huge
factor. The other item we worked hard to develop is the quality of our
notes.
Speed:
We designed the system with speed in mind. Many of our existing
customers were very concerned about the time required to input a daily
note and so we worked extremely hard to automate as much as possible to
improve the speed of input. The main ways we accomplished this was with
automation. First the patient can check themself into quickcharts.
Then, the waiting patients are displayed on a list on every PC using
quickcharts. This makes opening their chart very quick b/c of no
searching required.
We also create a visit for you automatically. This allows you to focus
on changing what was different today instead of building your visit
from scratch. It all translates to more speed.
Quality:
We also designed the system with quality of notes in mind. This means
that when needed a note is generated based on the items selected in a
patient chart. We follow the standard S.O.A.P format and include very
detailed sections. For the Subjective we include daily updates of what
the patient says, as well as an easy to update complaints section from
the doctor screen. For Objective we popuplate the screen with the data
from your last encounter with this patient. You can then save, modify
or erase and start over. For Assessment we have as many listings as you
want to use and an easy way to write custom entries for today's visit.
For Procedures/Plan we include minutes, locations and codes for where a
procedure was performed.
Travel Card Design:
We designed our system based on a travel card concept. Although on the
computer, our chart shows 5 visits at a time and also shows current
items such as the Diagnosis, Plan, number of visits and much, much more
all on the same screen. For a busy chiropractic office, this is the
best layout for viewing and inputting information.
In the design phase of our system, we listened to thousands
of chiropractors and learned how patient note-taking was becoming more
painful all the time. Most chiropractic software systems are going
after the detail that is needed and in the process the speed of the
note just goes out the window. Who has time for a 10 minute soap
note......? Most of us dont. Overall what we heard was that better documentation,
less paperwork
and speed were most important needs for a
soap notes program.
